Public Notification On Resolving Issues Related on Internet Services Usage

The Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia (TRC) would like to inform the public that the TRC has consistently encouraged telecommunications operators to strengthen the quality and efficiency of their services, as well as to improve their mechanisms for receiving and resolving users’ issues and complaints promptly, transparently, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Despite these efforts, the TRC continues to receive complaints from users regarding poor service quality, service disruptions, service disconnections, and delays by telecommunications operators in addressing reported issues, which adversely affect the legitimate interests of users.

In this regard, the TRC would like to reiterate that, in cases involving poor service quality, service disruptions or disconnections, equipment-related problems, or other issues concerning the use of Internet services, users are encouraged to first contact their telecommunications operators to report the issue and request that the telecommunications operators investigate and resolve the matter in a timely manner, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the service agreement and applicable law and regulations. However, if the telecommunications operators fail to resolve the issue, or if the user is not satisfied with the resolution provided, the user may report the matter to, or submit a formal complaint to, the TRC for review and appropriate action in accordance with TRC’s mandate and applicable procedures.

Users can contact TRC via the hotline 6789 during business hours, by email at info@trc.gov.kh, or through TRC’s official Facebook page, “និយតករទូរគមនាគមន៍កម្ពុជា - Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia”. TRC will closely monitor such cases and take strict action, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, against any telecommunications operators that intentionally avoids or fails to cooperate in resolving users’ issues, without discrimination or exception.
